SOFT IS THE NEW HARD

Designer Elena Goray’s SOFttILES are a complete surprise.
Though they initially appear soft, they prove to be a play on the senses as the tiles reveal a hardness like ceramic.
The surface structure of Goray’s porcelain tiles gives the illusion of organic skin and is inspired by the patterns created on a leather Chesterfield chair.

TOUCHY TILES

Blurring the lines of real and surreal, German design company Touchy-Feely have produced Found Space Tiles that appear to reach out.
The tiles are made using found spaces between bodies and architectural surfaces, and turned into positive forms.
Part body and part wall, the tiles echo the presence of a person and literally reach-out to be touched.
