TEA TIME

Designers Lyndon Neri and Rossana Hu molded this set of cups out of purple clay (zisha, in Chinese.)
The Zisha tea vessels are famous for retaining heat, preventing oxidation and gradually taking on tea flavour during years of use.
In other words, eventually you can just pour in boiling water and have yourself a cup of tea.

Let’s face it — good design often means simple design.
Enter: Dutch designer Jorre van Ast’s ‘Jar Tops.’
Currently in production with Dutch kitchenware manufacturer Royal VKB, the screw-on series of lids transforms empty run-of-the-mill glass jars into kitchen must-haves, such as a jug, a spice cellar and a sugar pot.
