Daniel & Rosemarie Bormann is most famous for their functional art pieces.
The Pfeffersacke chaise lounge was inspired by the trademen of Hamburg who worked in the local Hanse trade and after becoming very wealthy were nicknamed “Pfeffersacke” meaning sitting well fed and rich on big bags of pepper.
It is made from Dacron (polyethylene terephthalate) to create a comfortable seat and the wheelbarrow chassis and the spade are found objects. The spade acts as a backrest and the wheel as suspension.
Sit with caution as hilarity may ensue.
