Artist Daniel Canogar unnerves his audiences wih images of the demons of contemporary society.
Using mountains of discarded cables and VHS tapes as well as a multi-projections systems interconnected by fibre-optic cables, the Spanish artist creates installations that submerge the viewer in their mesmorizing beauty.
And while digital excess and how it changes our perception of reality is a common thread in all his work, Canogar is no foe of technology. In fact, he claims that we project ourselves into technology in so many ways that it has become part of us, almost an aethetic extension of the human body.
