Korean sculptor Gwon Osang creates his unnerving life-size portrait figures from nothing more than a series of photos and some polystyrene.
A sculptor by training, he begins a project by taking serveral hundred photographs of his model from every angle. He pastes the resulting skin onto a carved body shape and calls the results Deodorant Types (the names originally referred to a certain unsuccessful advertising campaign in Korea), because the postures of his figures are often taken from ads.
