Inspired by military sniper ghillie suits (that big, droopy clothing used to look like foliage), Yvonne Bayer and Sabrina Keric have designed Urban Camouflage.
The project by two communication design students from University of Media Arts and Design in Karsruhe, Germany questions and plays with public spaces and perceived mundanity of commerce and everyday places like a supermarket.
Whether viewed as a sort of hidden camera prank-like activity or an art project which seeks to question to idea of normality, there is no denying the simple visual impact of block shapes and colours.
